Cows used to go in woods for food in morning and come back home before sunset and its very common among cattle. There were few tigers and wolf in woods and that was the reason people and cattle always used to be in a group and come back home before sunset to avoid getting harmed.
One of our Cow was pregnant that day and she was very near to deliver calf any day, but as usual she went in woods in morning. Everything was normal that day until we found out that the pregnant cow was missing and did not return home because her time must have come to deliver baby calf, unfortunately in woods.
It was very sad for all of us to know that she would have been killed with her new born by some tiger, and it was too late to help her. We searched her nearby but did not find her.
We all gave up at around midnight and preyed to God to save her and her calf's life from tigers and wolves.
Next early morning, a group of people went in woods to find that cow, hoping she is still alive. Finally they found her wounded. But what they saw at the scene was nothing but miracle. She gave birth to her calf and one tiger was lying dead nearby. Cow's horn were full of Tiger's blood and flesh.
No one ever heard that cow can fight and kill a Tiger. What made her kill that Tiger? Here is what we can think of, Feeling of Love and affection for her kid calf, anger against her calf killer, a storm of emotions, feeling of kid's pain and all those things
which a normal human can feel if someone try to kill a human's baby in front on mother.
It was not self survival for sure, otherwise no Tiger could ever beat Cows. It was truly a feelings for her baby calf.
OK..., but one thing is sure we got to know by this incident is Animals have same feelings, anger, pain, emotions as we humans have". You will now think "Yes, of course, I already know that buddy..., whats new?"
If we know, than why we are killing millions of animals everyday in a brutal way and with insane cruelty just for food and taste ? Ain't we getting selfish and senseless ?
